"The New Song"

Postby Whiplash » Thu Jun 22, 2006 6:28 pm

I'd just like to know everyone's opinion on it.

I agree with Lars when he said in Kerrang that the new album has a kind of old school Metallica flavour to it; this song has proof to that. hairbang

And how cool was it of Metallica to let them post it on livemetallica.com??

Yeah that was cool, I thought they would have definitely taken it out when the posted it on livemetallica.com. Keep in mind though the song isn't exactly complete yet. It could go through a lot of changes by the time it comes for the band to record it for the album; but at least it gives us fans a chance to hear the early version of it. reddevil

Well from what you've managed to translate of them so far, they sound very dark. Its as almost as if James is talking about his past addictions in reference to how he has "done his time" and "paid the toll, told the tale"

Do you know if the song is in better quality on the livemetallica releases or is it still the same bootleg audio quality? I'd imagine the audio would be improved a bit though.
